The restored fountain anchors everything here, with mature shade trees overhead and paths that draw walkers, runners, and picnickers alike. There's a large shaded playground with equipment for a range of ages, plus a splash pad that opens seasonally for cooling off. An easy default when you want downtown green space the whole family can spread out in.
A sprawling park with tennis courts, open fields built for frisbee, and a fountain-centered pond. The renovated playground has modern equipment and rubber surfacing, and the lake comes with resident ducks and turtles for impromptu wildlife watching. There's a dedicated dog park and plenty of parking, so bringing the whole crew, four-legged members included, stays simple.
A scenic 1.5-mile paved loop circles the lake, smooth enough for bikes and strollers and popular with daily walkers and cyclists. Beyond the trail there's a skate park, a roller hockey rink, and an RC racing track that pulls competitors from around the Southeast. The large playground, stocked with climbing structures and swings, keeps the younger set busy.
Worth noting this one is out on Tybee Island, not in Savannah proper, so save it for days the plan already includes the beach drive. Once you're there, you'll find a playground, courts, picnic pavilions, and restrooms on site. Keep in mind parking is pay-to-park, so come with a little change or a card ready.
Out in Pooler, this expansive park wraps around a scenic lake with walking trails, a bridge, and multiple water features, making it a peaceful pick for joggers, walkers, and birdwatchers. There's an off-leash dog park, picnic areas, and tennis and pickleball courts, plus several playground areas geared to different age groups so siblings aren't stuck sharing one set of swings.
