QR codes stay on Georgia ballots through the midterms
Georgia's QR codes for scanning ballots will remain in place for the midterms after lawmakers delayed a fix. The Georgia Senate passed a bill to extend the deadline to remove QR codes from ballots to 2028, and to require hand recounts of certain top races. The extension means the codes voters have been using stay in service rather than coming off ballots sooner. Savannah voters used the scanners during the May 19 midterm primaries, putting the change directly in front of local residents at the polls. (The Current Georgia)
