Hurricane season is here — the city wants you signed up for RAVE alerts

The city is urging residents to enroll in emergency notifications before storm season ramps up.

Lead story

Atlantic hurricane season officially began Sunday and runs through November 30. The City of Savannah is pushing residents to sign up for RAVE alerts, the city's emergency notification system that delivers warnings about severe weather, evacuations, and other urgent situations directly to your phone or email.

The message from City Hall: stay updated, stay prepared. Enrollment is free and takes just a few minutes through the city's RAVE enrollment page. Notifications cover everything from hurricane watches to local utility emergencies.
